This reliable, free content is available at any time. And it&#8217;s not just about nutrition! There are also videos related to nephrology, oncology, celiac disease, and much more.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/showcase\/11597161\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Discover the library of educational <span class=\"rqt-nbsp\">videos<\/strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"rqt-external-link-img\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/divi-child-cct\/icons\/lien-externe.svg\" alt=\"Ouverture d\u2019un lien externe\" width=\"12\" height=\"12\" \/><\/span><\/a> (in French only)<\/p>\n<p>These videos come from various healthcare institutions in Quebec. Teams from across the province are working together to expand this library and offer you videos tailored to your needs. <\/p>\n<p>Please note that the library is in its early stages and will be improved over time. The subject classification system will make your experience easier.<\/p>\n<h2>Because we don&#8217;t always understand everything at once<\/h2>\n<p>During an appointment with a healthcare professional, it can be difficult to remember everything. Sometimes we feel stressed, tired, or simply overwhelmed by information. With video clips, you can review the content as many times as you like, whenever you really need to. This could be before treatment, after a consultation, or simply when a question pops into your mind.<\/p>\n<h2>Results that speak for themselves<\/h2>\n<p>Since the introduction of these educational capsules at the CISSS de la Mont\u00e9r\u00e9gie-Est, the results have been encouraging. Data has been collected for patients undergoing oncology treatment, dialysis, or suffering from celiac disease:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>86% of patients who were offered the videos agreed to watch them;<\/li>\n<li>83% actually watched them;<\/li>\n<li>Waiting times for an initial nutrition service have decreased by 18% for dialysis patients and 67% for oncology patients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In other words, by accessing information independently, everybody saves valuable time. It also reduces waiting times for people who really need an in-person appointment.<\/p>\n<h2>More time for what really matters<\/h2>\n<p>For half of the patients, the capsules were sufficient to meet their needs. They did not need to make an additional in-person appointment. Patients who need to meet with their nutritionist can focus on more specific topics.
